Condor presented an original paper on monitoring large dams with DGPS at the USSD conference
in Salt Lake City on June 7th 2005. The paper is titled “Performance Monitoring of Libby Dam with a
Differential Global Positioning System”.
“We are very pleased that the USSD provided us the opportunity to present our research” said David
Rutledge, Program Manager for Condor Earth Technologies, Inc. “This work clearly establishes DGPS
as an important tool for dam surveillance and overall risk management. DGPS systems create a real-time
feedback loop that provides reliable and high-value information for integrated decision management
centers”.
Condor’s GPS monitoring systems consist of advanced real-time GPS processing software and are backed
by high-level support and data analysis. Condor monitoring systems are designed to be cost-effective
when compared with traditional techniques, and are fully automated.
